The REAL old-timers here, who might remember Jack Benny's 1950s radio (!) program on Sunday night, might recall the episode in which Jack's sidekick, Mary Livingston, accidentally used Jack's rare "Mozambique purple" on an outgoing letter. This was way too early for a "love interest," -- just a sidekick, LOL.

doug2222 those were different times..i remember as a young kid being in a persons home and they had a photograph of Jack Benny on an end table in their living room...i guess people thought of celebrities as family back then..and he was still 39 years old when I was 9 !
