British Guiana Summary Jurisdiction. What date are these stamps and what does it mean if one has cancelled written across it ?

so many lasses collecting stamps! Yay!

These stamps are fiscal in nature, did not carry postage
and were used in the court function.
The script across the stamp invalidates its further use.
Probably applied to a document, then written across it
when it was attached to the document.

hese are lovely stamps, featuring an allegory of justice,
there are 16 in the set
with various perforations,
8 with no watermark and 8 with Crown CC watermark.
