I doubt if anyone will ever be able to read the placename, but the postmaster of this office, whatever it was, was clearly having some trouble using his canceller.



The date doesn't seem to make any sense whichever way you look at it. Right way up:

Has anyone seen any other badly botched cancels?

I have stamps that way too and it is impossible to decipher. Maybe the postmaster was using his feet instead
