Hello, I am pretty sure this is a Japanese revenue. The design is hard to see, I don't know if it is the color or possibly faded somewhat. Is the center mark a cancel or an overprint? It has a cancel in the lower righ corner but it looks different. if an overprint, any idea what it says?
Thanks again
David

You're welcome David,
Forbin does not date these revenues by the way
I'd say somewhere between 1876 and 1909

And that's a cancellation on David's stamp (and on Rod's 10 Sen). It means - surprisingly - 'Cancelled'.

Can't make anything of the cancellations on the 1 and 3 Sen stamps, but the 5 Sen is cancelled 'Court/Cancelled'.
