When asked why the Postal Service isn't viable like services such as FedEx or United Parcel Service...there were two significant differences: One, UPS and FedEx don't deliver to every address six days a week; and two, private companies can focus their efforts on areas that are most profitable [but the U.S.] Postal Service focuses its efforts on universal mail service for everyone in the U.S., regardless of where they live.
