Ondrej Sekora (1899-1967) was a Czech painter, illustrator, writer, journalist and entomologist, known mainly as an author of popular children's books. Here is an image of a stamp depicting two of Sekora's best known animated characters, Ferda the Ant and Pouch the Beetle, plus a leggy and haughty ladybug, designed by Czech graphic artist Jaroslav Fiser (1919-2003), combined engraved by Josef Hercik and photogravure, and issued by Czechoslovakia on May 26, 1999 to commemorate the centenary of Sekora's birth, Scott No. 3091.

I am not all that fond of clowns, but I like the clown at the amusement park on the Finnish stamp. The penguins are way cool. And is anyone else having trouble seeing images that Perf14 posted??? They just aren't showing up here.
