Clowns seem to be the order of the day.

But not everybody is comfortable with clowns.
I always found this New Zealand stamp amusing.

This is a very old image,
but it still cracks me up.

A Bruegel masterpiece.

It's the blind leading the blind,
and in doing so, pokes the unsuspecting man into the lake.

It somehow reminds me of the subtle humour
of the Frenchman Jaques Tati whom I just adore.

The US issued a similar one for Australia's Bicentennial ... with the Koala and the Eagle dancing

I found this stamp funny:

With that size mosquito, I think malaria would be the least of your problems! It would be like getting a stiletto into your ribs!

:))

No clowns here, never liked them. "IT" is all I can say! These are funny to me :)

Love the way the cancel fell on this one! ^

Miss Piggy always had the greatest sense of humor!

I would do the same thing...

Love that US airmail, lux that's a ripper!,
some great humour being uncovered.

Don't get the last one, are they cigarettes?

I had thought the little cigarette-like things were microphones, like in an interview on TV.

Searching yielded that the dog is called Wum (also known as The Talking Dog), the cartoon artist's nickname is Loriot. The stamp says For the Welfare in German and Wum had become the mascot of a German humanitarian organization in real life.

I think Wum looks funny just being himself, but their is probably some knowledge of seeing him on TV, in cartoons, and as the mascot that adds to the humour.
