1960 Post Card From Germany

No Airmail label or equivalent. It probably went by ship.

Interesting spelling of the word "night" too. As a teacher in Australia, I thought this was American spelling until I taught with an American teacher. She assured me that it was not American spelling, and that it bothered her as much as it bothered me.

I've seen it spelled that way in old books, but it must of went out of favor years ago. It doesn't appear as a word in Websters Dictionary.

As a Cheesehead (born in Wisconsin, near Milwaukee) I've seen that spelling often.

I was really surprised that it wasn't in Webster's Dictionary!

It is in the Oxford Dictionary though. The definition pretty well tracks how I've seen the word used.
