I've just read all 7 pages of this post and I have to say that I'm a little overwhelmed, a little frightened, and very impressed by your "work flow" and how well you've refined the process.

I never thought I would say it, but Thank God, I don't have that many stamps!

Have just survived a total white-out.
The worst stamp blizzard ever.
It lasted a good 7 days.

All the raw kiloware is now sorted. My wife did it all and I can not thank her enough. Over 50kgs of stamps off paper have been sorted into denominations, sets and singular stamps.
At present the high denominations are being put into order by my wife and I am up to 2004 with the letter rate stamp cataloguing.

The stamps are revolting again. Here they come. There going to take over. We can not hold them back.

It is a great experience and I am very pleased to say that we are still fresh and still have a healthy mind set about it all.

Maybe another 6 to 8 weeks and we will have finished. It was just a dream in Feb this year. It is no longer an if, it is now a matter of when.

The 4 tubs on the floor hold the stock for making the packets from 300 to 1700 different stamps. It is complete for packet numbers wanted.

The the stack of tubs on the left hold the general stock from 1966 to 2009.

The stack of tubs on the right hold the stamps from 1966 ~ 2010 that are partially sorted. They will all be sorted into general stock &/or stockbooks.

That finishes this stage of the packet making process. All the stock is now in place to start to make the packets themselves. We are going to take a couple of weeks off to freshen up & then get stuck into the packet making. John & family.

Scott contacted the poster and threatened him with a "cease and desist"
and made him remove his link.
It was he who inspired me to start scanning stamps.
That would have been ten years ago approx.

He was a computer geek and did explain how he organised
a robot to seek out and download images with scott numbers
throughout the web, but it was over my head at the time.

I forget what I suggested and where, but that cancel or printer output looks really nice.

What is intended for that? Will that be placed on packing slips or envelopes or web-site or ?? Is that your logo or part of your signage so to speak? Part of letterhead?

How did you get it or make it? I like the double lined circle too.

I have to have one now. I must try this out, maybe in Print Shop or something similar, but with a hexagon perhaps. Hmmm, a circular or rounded item is more pleasing to the eye though. Experimentation needed!

Have you seen Spock's store logo on BidStart that someone here (scb)? I forget) made up? An elephant. Looks snazzy (nice). I like it.

Oh, maybe you mean the happy face I put on the back's of envelopes so people will be happier when they open the envelope? Yes, same idea, great thought.

Soaking used Australian self adhesive stamps off paper.
More the last 5 years of Aust dec being the 50c and 55c eras.

After some months of trying to remove these stamps off paper and having tried many, many different ways of doing this I have an answer in the simplest way possible.
I have found that by soaking the stamps in very warm, soapy water for 40 mins and then drying them out totally again and then soak the stamps, the same for the second time for 15 mins and they come off paper with an ease that is surprising.
This method I have tried repeatedly, all with the same great result. Happy stamping KGV.

Well all I can say is that all the floral stamps are well watered. You have much more patience and fortitude than I ever could have had.
