In Germany it is Children's Day today, here's one of my favorites. Unnamed child of 6 Years. Issued 1967. Lovely topic - should have been here long ago.

Children's Day is celebrated on different days of the year, depending upon the country. "Universal Children's Day takes place annually on November 20. First proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1954, it was established to encourage all countries to institute a day, firstly to promote mutual exchange and understanding among children and secondly to initiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world's children" (see Wikip).
