Hi I'd like a list of all the different countries ebay home page links please

www.ebay.com
www.ebay.com

etc

Which countries ebay site has the less fees for listing? What are the risks of listing on foreign ebay sites? As a new seller I have to consider ebay fees. Already ebay.com seems cheaper than ebay.au, however ebay.com has tougher paypal and ebay laws.

I would like to hear from those of you who experienced the good and the bad listing your items on another countries ebay site.

Thank you

Just go to the ebay.com homepage and hover over the American flag at the bottom of the page.

I have read of it but have always listed from Canada site dot ca and so did not pay too much attention at times to the details.

Dot ca seems like dot com I think but we are delayed in the roll out of rules and sales and such.

So dot.ca is better than dot.com? What about ebay.UK? Are the fees high or not? My thinking is maybe one ebay site has no listing fees. Or cheaper listing fees than all the other ebay sites. very dollar saved counts.

According to the big sellers dot com, the us site is better to list upon and I think sign up to also, than the Canada site.

But as a small seller I do not notice any difference myself.

I haven't tried any other site.

I read on the forums now and then that the sales for listing items that occur here and there are different on all sites pretty well.

Now I do not know if it is better and necessary to sign up to which site?

You are on Australia and can sell on other sites but I do not know how that affects your rates or billings or anything.

I have kept it simple for myself as there didn't seem any reason to change, no big differences. I do not have a store, just my user name.

The ebay UK site just cost me 1 pound to do one listing. Now that meant you had to pay for the second picture, however there was a box to tick, that allowed your add to appear in .com & .CA I can get an ebay ad in au for 40 cents every few times but then they charge you a 3 dollar insertion fee (every other time) So far the first ad in .com was cheaper but I don't know if dot.com gives you an insertion fee. There is also a .NZ that maybe worth a go to but then you can't list in USD. The dot Uk you have to list in pounds sterling but half of Europe is your audience. Ebay should allow you to list in what ever currency you like from which ever site you like.

£0.15

£5.00 - £14.99

£15.00 - £29.99

£0.50

£30 - £99.99

Good to know it depends on your start bid as to how much they charge. I'd be better off starting an item at 14 pounds rather than 15 pounds

I'm based in Ireland, but don't use .ie, as it lists only on the irish site, and similarly with .co.uk (only in the UK).
For those internationally to see the listings they must tick the "worldwide" box on the left side of the ebay homepage. I fear a lot of people don't do this.
My preference is to use .com, but as I pointed out in another thread, the ebay and paypal fees combined eat heavily inot the payment you receive. However in sales terms .com has had some results while .ie and .co.uk have not.

I thought there is a place to place a tick mark in a box when listing an item that for a small fee the item will be shown on all Ebays ?

I know most of us use some sort of image hosting such as photobucket or flicker. You can insert images into your ebay listings using the html function in your description for free. I recently added approx 30 high res photos to a listing at no charge. Also most of the istings I've done recently are free insertion regardless of what starting price and also free buy it now option. A straight out buy it now is 50cents -all this on the .com site. However the after sale fees are adding up really quick -- I'm pretty well looking at all fees at 15% to be safe.

Good morning KGV et all, on the AUS site if you have a store the first 12 pics a free, of not you pay after the 1st pic. Store fee is $20 a month. Gallery they want $14 for! Any extras like BOLD or Highlight cost more to. The prices in my view are a bit steep. Then they want a % of profit as well and paypal takes some % to. Now they say you don't get payment till you post the item. In the end the fees are defeating the purpose of selling. I just been hit with another 100 dollars of ebay fees (the second such bill in just over a month). I may have listed about 60 times at a cost of over 200 dollars. I have not even sold that much only 4 items. I think I may try .com for a while. Ebay listings should appear on all country ebay sites regardless. AU does not even have a box to tick to include .com and .ca .Uk it says choose world wide, but I wonder if the listings are being seen in all countries. I have never had a buyer in USA so far! Or UK and I did hit worldwide selling on the option. I just wonder where my items are bring seen. We need a world wide stamp site with a big audience that runs like ebay but does not charge such high fees. Anyone care to set up such a website?

Delcampe awaits you . . .
http://www.delcampe.net/page/main/language,E.html

Notice the .net , The site also exists as .com and dot a lot of other countries also but .net gives you worldwide for viewing and listing.

Not sure of the exposure though, but that is probably because I just haven't used it to sell as much as buy. Buying is fun.

I have had buyers from all over the world so think I get a good amount of world wide exposure

On ebay .com (that is USA) and it is our ebay after a lot of research and we have a store with them.

USA Pacific time 12th Jan was a free listing day with all the trimmings. On that day I listed 120 lots. 24 lots sold for
$65 but the fees have not been taken out. Jan is proving to be very slow as normally we would sell 50 to 60 lots out of 120 and would sell for close to $150.

Our .com figures for Dec and that was for a 3 week month for us.

Gross sales USD $450.99

Total cost: which includes all ebay costs, pay pal costs and mailing costs was $150.37- mailing cost $51.10 = $99.27

Total gain $351.72 + we get a tax rebate of 100% because we declare the stamps come from my collection and not the business as they are not classified as an asset this way.

And this is one of our poorer months. Nov and May were our biggest by far.

Some solid figures to chew on. KGV.
