I was just leaving feedback on a purchase I made on Ebay and decided for once to look at my feedback. After reading a few I noticed something strange, 4 different sellers left me the exact same feedback including exclamation marks, same capitol letters ...everything exactly the same. The sellers were Momen Stamps, CK Stamps, NY Stamps and one I had never heard of until I purchased an item, Mammaroo. Is this just a coincidence ? or are all these sellers one of the same ?
The feedback left by all was:
Quick response and fast payment. Perfect! THANKS!
Again, they all used 1 exclamation point after Perfect and 2 after Thanks. All used all capitol letters in Thanks and a period after payment and the exact same words. Personally I think it's too weird to be a coincidence.

CK stamps eh? I remember being out bid recently in one of their auction lots, and now I know by who! I would be very surprised indeed if they were all the same. |

I think most likely a coincedence. Momen Stamps is located in Cary, NC, CK Stamps is located in Flushing, NY, not sure about NY Stamps.
Flash! - I justed my enay feedback and have exactly the same wording from buypcdirect. |

I have no idea, but I wonder if perhaps they all use the same backoffice service for their auctions? |

I think they use a service or some form of listing software that contains standardized responses. I looked at my feedback and found the exact same from several sellers, each of whom I know to be separate and distinct. |

...or they are just lazy and copy/pasted the previous feedback. I've seen the same thing done on my feedback. And from two sellers that I know are not the same person. Yep, my vote is on lazy..... |

I was just outbid today on a set of series 1902 1¢-1$ on CK stamps was that you? lol.. Just beware of your momen purchases is all. I feel that a lot of the stuff they offer is misrepresented and over priced. Maybe they changed I don't know and don't like to dis on sellers but momen is on my list. |

I'm ceratin NY stamps and Momen are different as I have purchased from both sellers. I don't recall if I have purchased from CKstamps (most likely have), but don't believe they are the same seller and/or company. I think Rod hit the nail ... they likely copied and pasted. I know some sellers will wait for weeks at a time and do all feedback at once ... copying and pasting the same comment for hundreds of sellers. |

You are all probably correct. I just thought it was a bit strange that the feedback was exactly the same, character for character. I feel your pain ILS as CK Stamps and NY Stamps both seem to have a very loyal following and they both list a lot of material and the bidding for items from these 2 sellers is always heavy so your chances are slimmer. I have won auctions from both and the item was delivered as advertised and quickly and I left positive feedback. |

CK stamps and NY stamps are both in New York. They are both run by asians.
They both list cr@p and beauties.
With both of them it is hit or miss. I have purchased material from both and have been lucky.
Most of their "good" stamps are usually altered, they don't list faults. And they sell alot becuase they list alot. and they buy tons of stuff at auctions. There is a whole history of these two sellers on other sites.
I would not buy anything from momen.. |

I used to say the same regarding Momen Stamps...but then I kept searching for a C3 that fit the criteria to match the set and he had one listed as a "Buy it Now" for a price I wouldn't even consider, so I figured I'd take a stab with an offer. I searched the completed auctions, found the average price that one with the characteristics I wanted and made the offer, and then I was surprised, my offer was accepted. And here it is, XF MNH. |

No coincidence at all, CK stamps and NY stamps are the same dealers. Quite a few of the larger dealers have multiple accounts which should not be allowed but Ebay is not going to shut down one of their cash cows. Not busting on NY stamps though because they do have some nice offers but you have to be careful as with any of them. |

don't know that that stamp fits the "XF" designation. the stamp is not perfectly spaced. VF-XF most likely. |

If you have a higher-subscription-level eBay Store, it allows you to automate feedback, including selecting the actual feedback text from a group of responses. Depending on how much or how little you customize it, the feedback you leave may look virtually the same. I'm not sure why it matters. Seller feedback for buyers is completely meaningless now that only positive feedback can be left. Who cares what it says? I'd actually go one step further and say that eBay should eliiminate feedback for buyers entirely ( Amazon doesn't have buyer feedback scores). It is meaningless and a holdover from a bygone era when eBay feedback actually meant something. Now it's just a procedural pain in the butt and waste of everybody's time. |

Quote: it allows you to automate feedback, including selecting the actual feedback text from a group of responses Thanks Rev, the answer to my question. I just thought it was a bit strange that they all used the same wording, now it makes sense. |
