How insulting is that statement. It is not my experience at all. Very much the opposite experience actually. Even so called beginners at collecting are asking very good questions. The questions we received about our stamps from eBay buyers tell me that there is a lot of switch on collectors out there. The term eBay bunnies must of come from stamp dealers that would not last a week when it comes to feed back etc. Have slipped a few Aust KGV's into auction with varieties and did not mention the stamps had printing flaws in the description. Each one of these stamps has been found and bidding reflected the printing flaw had been found by the buyers of these stamps. Happy Bidding.
Always Happy Stamping. KGV.

I believe the term Ebay Bunnies was started (and used daily) by a Sydney stamp dealer that can't stand the fact people buy stamps from other places than him.
Sure there are a few shonks but on the whole there is a lot of good deals to be had. |

Aussie Al & KGV Collector, yes that Gentleman is known world wide for rudeness and egomaniac eccentricity. Some of his outbursts as an Administrator of a site in Australia suggests a deteriorating condition, quite sad. |

I think it is a mistake to take anything that Australian stamp dealer says seriously. His trademark is being completely outrageous.

Hi KGV Collector and Aussie Al I know who you are referring to. When I asked a question and he did not want to answer it, and he found out that I was Born in New Zealand, I got a tirade of filthy language on my Email site. He seems to object to persons buying stamps on Ebay and not from him. I have bought stamps on Ebay and I have never had any problems. He is becoming a joke world wide and it is no wonder that people are leaving his forum. If he takes a dislike to you, he removes you from his site and in my case as stated above sent a verbal tirade of filthy language to my email address. I am so glad that I found this forum and I tell all my philatelic friends about this wonderful, helpful, and knowlegable site.
Regards,
Horamakhet |

eBay Bunnies? Of course there are. How about this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAP...170703643099And here is the image that went with it: Described by the seller as 'Bundi Sc 1 private impression unused (CV $19,000)' 'Private impression' being a nice way of saying a modern copy made on a colour photocopier. That didn't stop a buyer with a Feedback score of 1461 from paying $US60 for it. So what sort of idiot pays $60 for a blatant forgery of a $19,000 stamp? An eBay Bunny, of course. |

Well, Smauggie, if I was going to do this sort of thing myself, I'd do a much more passable imitation. I wouldn't describe it as a 'private impression' either. But alas, I doubt that there are very many more Bunnies out there willing to spend $60 to buy a $19,000 stamp.
On the other hand, I can do any SCF members who are interested a very good deal on a well-known bridge in Sydney. The title deeds have been secretly passed down in my family for several hundred years, but approaching retirement forces me to put it on the market ... |

Here are a bunch of Ebay enthusiasts gathering outside the hall prior to their annual 'Show and Tell' The guest speaker was a revolutionary who was asking for volunteers to join him on a Top Secret mission to Australia. You can tell from the look in the black ones eye that feelings have been hurt and revenge will be sweet! Have a Good One, Skilo54 |

The term Ebay Bunnies refers to the buyers that spend outrageous sums of money based on a scan of an image, limited information on the product and no certification to accompany a piece that needs one to differentiate it from a very common piece. At least that's my understanding. |

I was at an auction like that this past summer. One guy over bid on everything, basically blocking everyone out before the prices came down to a reasonable level. Too much money, too little sense. And an hour and a half drive each way, waste of a day too. |
