Each collector decides for themself how they want their collection to look .
There are a few things that drive me crazy as I look at other collectors collections . The Scott International vol. I is loaded with pages that have broken/partial sets , they don't deal with complete sets only . How do you value these broken sets ?
Then other collectors like blank stock books again are the sets complete ? Without a catalog present your not sure . Recently a major auction firm put up scans of a dealers life time inventory. The scans were a fast flip thru of the inventory . You could not see at first look ,were you buying a book full of broken sets or a much higher reason to bid high if you knew everything was in those binders ,again you have to lower your bidding to adjust to what you see in a quick scan .
This is why I like STEINER PAGES for viewing and bidding on material .
Another thing that gets my underwear all bunched up is, the dumb idea of mounting mint hinged stamps in mounts without telling the viewer that they are not mint NEVER hinged .......here is a sample of my page ,it makes it clear what the stamps are . Remember if you have to bid on stamps that are in mounts with the understanding they are hinged unless the auction house clearly states the fact of what your bidding for .
