On the left is a #43 that was already in my collection. I just got the stamp on the right in the mail. It was listed as #39 but to me it looks exactly like the #43. (Both have perf. 12, according to my basic perf gauge.) The one on the right has a lower left positioning dot, the one on the left does not. So are these different stamps? Different varieties? The small queens make my head spin!

The guide dot may or may not be present on stamps of the same number. Guide dots are not necessarily found on every stamp of the plate
And yes,
it could be a nice variety.
