yup.

I looked up that picture after your prior message. I agree with you.
(as a side note, also have this one - Re-entry "Unlocated 6" (diagram "N"). Identifiable by marks in "TAGE" and at right vignette frame (about 3:30 position).

(Sorry for hijacking the thread, but it's been an interesting and useful discussion prompted by your original post)

The Large Queen 25 is also one of my favorite, but damn Chip! Your collection let me speechless...

Sorry that you had to slash your position 95 because of me :(

Jimi - Better to get it right - thanks - and now something else to look for.
Won't be the first or last time I've reprinted a page.

Jimjung:
Your "N" is different from mine. Note the mark in the right "6" in mine and the position of the guide dot in the lower left ornament on mine. That doesn't mean that yours or mine isn't the "N" re-entry, just that they are likely from different positions.

Thanks for sharing.

From ducworth book the item "N" is suppose to have the mark in the right 6. maybe they repaired the plate, maybe a later state or another position? There is so many re entry on #27.

I'm not sure that is Item N. These are just a few of the ones I have that have not been written by anyone that I could find. I still have some more. I'll try to post on weekend.

Jimjung,

I just found a copy of the same re-entry as you (with some horrible perf too) I am not sure either it is the item ''N'' as there is some major doubling in STAGE and in CENTS (espescially the ''S'')(re entry clear) instead of ''MARK'' as there is on item N.

Also the item ''N'' is suppose to have a third inner vignette line right side of the queen, while ours have only 2. Sound pretty clear it is not item ''N''

Here my crappy copy (will post better scan once I receive it)

Well, now, look at this found on eBay with a VGG CERT claiming our stamp, are, #27IV DOUBLE PRINT TO RIGHT... I have big doubt about this

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Canada-27iv-...AOSwOyJX5Vsq

If it is, then JACK POT! hehe but I doubt. I once contacted G.archer about this one and he said he wasn't there when they approved this Cert and it is certainly not the double print. (As in the double print we can clearly see twice the stamp)

I checked the Duckworth book and all other documentation and found nothing about it.

We may claim this is a Very strong or either a Major re-entry as a Big Portion of the stamp is doubled, the whole right side (from the middle)

Ok, I just ID our stamp, it is NOT a double print but a ''KISS PRINT'' that were constant at some time (???)

From ''large queen and their use''

THe Kiss print to the right resulting in a portion of the stamp being doubled (and not double printed) is considered as 27IV it look like (Not from me, VGG claim it)

SO we DO have a 27Iv but not the ''SO CLaimed one''

With that being said, I still having hard time to belive it is a slip print as all 3 copies are so identicle and it make me belive it is a constant plate var and possibly a re entry would id call major. But the fact is Duckworth himself and VGG claim it a slip print so... Who am I to claim somthing different hehe.

Jimi,

Thanks ! Wow, I love Jackpot. I sent this scan to a few collectors to get their opinion. See what happens. Here are a couple more 6c LQ's:

Spur in Bottom right scroll - Item J

Tiny re-entry in both sixes (I have two copies of this to verify constancy)

Jimjung,

I just received my ''27iv'' and it is exactly the same as your and the one that appear on the VGG cert

As we see, there is some clear doubling of POSTAGE

We can clearly see the doubling caused by the slip in the number 6

If we assume this is not the ''true'' double print, I think, maybe it should have it own catalog number such as 27iiv?

Jimjung,

Your copy with ''MARK in O and T'' is actually a re-entry. I was looking at my unknow re-entry and realise I had a copy less sharper than your.

Jimjung copy

My copy

There is clear trace of re-entry in the circle under the queen , a third line and also a doubling of the ornement under it.

Compare

This re entry isn't noticed by Duckworth in ''the large queen and their use''

It is quite substile, but I guess we have something new there!
