Hi Rod,

That's a very nice bullseye postmark. It looks as Victoria has got her sunglasses on her forehead!

It's on a dated "stamped to order" stamp which I think says 11.5.92.

Wow! completely missed that.
Am I getting old?
I do have to lift my game......Thanks Nigel.

I assume that fragment came from a dedicated registered envelope?

I note in a "Prestige Auction" catalogue in Australia,
mutilated stationery, cut squares, fragments, may be referred to as "Extract/s"
Have you come across this expression before? or am I mis-reading something from an auction catalogue.

This one was a bit confusing
Postmark? Slogan?
I decided a "Pictormark" (Pictorial Postmark)

I'll send it to Alan, see if it qualifies as a new one in the Database.

From 1991 "The world of Thematics" Betty Van Tenac, Castles.

Hi Allan,
a new find for your database.

Wylde Green (Sutton Coldfield) August 17 1909
eBay

PS: I was looking for a Postmark for TYNEHAM
The Post Office opened for 10 minutes in 1973
I was unsuccessful.

Only one on eBay, but the Pmk was too light.

New discovery
(Near where I grew up )

Wincanton, Somerset

Prior to the Norman Conquest Wincanton was frequently the scene of battles between the Britons, Danes and Saxons. During the reign of Edmund Ironside, the English, under his command, defeated the Danes, forcing them to leave England.

The squared circle is added ...

The others I have added but with a note as they are all only part marks ... being the CDS section of a machine roller postmark
They will serve as place holders .. but really need full examples from the cover or the top section of a cover the show the entire mark ...

With thanks .. Allan

Right. Understood.
I am ploughing my way through some tins of stamps on piece.
I'll post what I think may be of interest, and you can discriminate at your will.
Cheers Allan.
Keep up the work on the Masterpiece that is your database.
