I am looking for a tool where I can create listings offline, including photographs and then bulk uploading to eBay when I am ready to start an auction. The tools listed on eBay seem to be geared toward creating some sort of storefront and listing stocked items. My items will be more unique.

I had downloaded Turbolister some time ago, thinking it might work, but found that it is being phased out.

What do others here use?

Well you want a loading tool so you can take advantage of eBay's sometimes "list 5000 for free" deals. Mind you if you choose the BIN/BO option you will get few offers as 80% of buyers just don't understand how that works.

Turbolister is still usable until June or July of this year. There's suppose to be some sort of replacement, but I have yet to see it.

Listing the one at a time is not feasible if you are listing hundreds to thousands of items.

If you're willing to pay a monthly fee I've heard good things about Sixbit.

If you are a Mac user, I would recommend GarageSale by IwasCoding software.

You can do everything you have listed plus there is a very nice backend sales management functionality and many nice listing and photo features. The developers(in Germany) are responsive to individual requests and there is a fairly comprehensive wiki. There are upgrades to keep up with the maddening number of eBay "improvements" and the software is updated for changes on the Apple side as well.

The biggest advantage to this program is that once you buy it, there is no monthly charge or per item fees. If there is a major upgrade, there can be an occasional fee(usually 19.95) but this is pretty infrequent(think once every couple of years). I believe a single user license costs about $40. IMHO, a pretty good deal for what you get.

Thanks for the feedback. I may continue to use Turbolister until June or July.

GarageSale sounds good, but I am using a Windows machine.

I intend to list 50-100 items at a time, so doing each one manually does not appeal to me. Also with batch processing, the auctions will all end around the same time so that it will be better for processing and shipping.

I have been using Sixbit for several years and couldn't operate without it.

Sixbitsoftware seems like a good replacement, although a bit pricey for my anticipated level of use. Can you scan and manage images from within the application directly or is it necessary to import them separately?

I do my scans and process the pictures before I go to Sixbits. Bringing the pics into Sixbit is just point and click. Sixbit is a system of overlapping templates. For example I have 8 templates for shipping, 4 for my boilerplate and pictures etc. Each time I start selling a new collection I put together a template specifically for this collection. This takes about 5 minutes. Then I create auctions by bringing in pictures and giving the item an appropriate title. Each auction takes less then 3 minutes per item.

After my auctions end all data is saved in a SQL database and is available for analysis and as a historical record. I have used it for 5 years and the little support I've needed has been excellent.

Thanks KRelyea - Since it has a 30 day trial period, I will go ahead and evaluate it for my purposes.
