I have a group of American Philatelists from 1888 and 1889. 7 months in total. These appear to be in good original condition and the pages have not been "exploded".

I guess my questions are

Are these collectible?
Are they real?

Thanks

Bob

Disappointed to read on and discover they were magazines, not miraculously preserved stamp collectors. Any reason why they shouldn't be genuine? But if this lot was anything to go by, they might not make much - it went for 16

Very funny! The only thing that gave me pause vis a vis their genuineness was the fact the pages were not "exploded".... In other words 16 pages are printed on 1 large page.... I guess you needed to cut the pages apart to read the inside ones or the ones that are upside down. Curious.

The description was not very good.

The way to sell this kind of material is to highlight the articles that would be of interest to modern collectors. For example, I have a bound volume of articles on postmaster provisionals.

Other things to highlight are extensive photos and well known authors.

There are philatelic literature collectors. A general clue to value would be the price asked by any of the several philatelic dealers and/or the sold value on eBay and other auctions.

Thank you. I haven't seen these magazines offered, so if anyone has any specific comparables I would appreciate those.

What is the content of these magazines? Could you post scans of the TOCs?
