Just got this. 1.90 Francs, Lindbergh traversing the North Atlantic, 1927 France stamp. Why the second plane below The Spirit of St Louis though?

This Australian airmail features Hermes, the messenger of the gods. The rate was for the newly introduced Australia to England air service, which commenced the same month (Dec 1934.) It was originally intended to be inscribed "Air Mail Service", but they scrapped that idea in favour of just the word "Postage" as it could be used for any postal service (as could all Australian airmails.) It is still considered an Airmail nonetheless.

I can't say its a favorite, but here is an Estonia in any event...

This is from the 1925 issue. They were also issued in 1924 as imperf stamps. I'm not sure that this isn't a forgery.

I found a couple in a Guatemala packet today that I like.
To find any complete set in one of my packets would be nice just once in a while.

There are some great air mail stamps shown in this thread, a few of which I have in my collection. Here are a few from Germany that I enjoy. The first two are C1 and C2 respectively (1919 issues). The third is MC1 a military air post from 1942.
