Hi Rod -

Some nice new pages - haven't seen before! Can't seem to send you a message? Sent one on TSF...

What's the 1/2 stamp on page 51?? A printout??

Last stamp on page 68 - it's upside down!

Also 1923 postal tax page - I'm confused - what are the 3 spaces for? (All one stamp?) Just to have different copies/varieties??

Looks great - looking forward to more!

Hi mdroth !
Please forgive my ignorance, I am not sure we have communicated on a first name basis prior.
I have been the beneficiary of your knowledge before...thank you.

Hahaha. just part of my collecting regime, I do, if I can, add picture images of the stamps I am missing, in the page position (I cut them out of old pages
like proprietry pages from Schaubek albums and the like.
Why?
Fast reference if I am to bid on a "collection" I can isolate the stamps I need
and price them, so as to know if the collection is worth purchasing.
A picture is worth a 1000......... etc etc

I knew it, you picked it up, how many else ?
(after I scanned the page, too lazy to adjust and rescan)

With personal pages, (copying Steiner format) I always add squares to complete the page, and add duplicates when they arrive.
So yes, they are just copies of the same stamp, ie "duplicates"
In future I shall pencil in "duplicate"

Thanks for you kind words.

Truly some Turkish delights there. My first collecting period before I sold my collections in the early 2000s I had a nearly complete run of Turkey from 1937 to 2000. One of the last collections I sold, and one day will rebuild the collection again.

If anyone is looking for a good specialized catalogue, the ISFILA (produced by the Istanbul Philatelic and Cultural Center Society) is an excellent catalogue covering stamps and postal stationary. I have the 2014 edition, and the 2-volume 2016 is available direct from their website for US$33.33 plus shipping. http://www.isfila.com/english/NSlot...p?NSKNID=167

Thank you for your kind words.

Appreciate your links, I think the price is a rare "Value" for a specialised stamp and stationery catalogue, I'll chase that up.
