No Galeoptix, it is a mint never hinged stamp.
But I have the stamp in my kiloware stock too.
I made 20 of this design.
2 sheets, but there are no sheets left only separate stamps or pairs and strips of 3 are left.
I made the stamps, as other designs too, to upgrade my kiloware assortment.
I made in total about 55 sheets of 10 stamps.
such stamps are more rare than the blue Mauritius.

Here is a new finding, it doesn't mean it has value but it is the first time I see this one:

It is a very common stamp, it is printed in offset.
common and offset, offset is a cheap printing variety.

The text is : PRESORTED / FIRST-CLASS / MAIL / U.S. POSTAGE /AT&T

Presorted means that it is from a mailing, large quantity, from the government or I think a larger commercial company like Chevrolet or United airlines. Maybe they have sent mail to all states in one time.

First-class means fast delivered.
The price of the mailing is paid to AT&T, AT&T is one of the postorganisations in the USA and might be the oldest company for carrying post in the USA.
AT&T means American Telephone and Telegraph.
There is no value on the stamp this means the company that made the mailing brought it to the postorganisation , the envelopes were already sorted on zipcode or adress, for that work they get a lower price.
If my story is true? I don't know!

AT&T
I would suggest a different scenario:
AT&T has nothing to do with the handling of US mail. This piece is torn from an envelope of presort first class mail which was mailed by AT&T. They chose to apply a sticker rather than a presort message printed directly on the envelope because any stamp (or in this case a pseudo-stamp) gets a higher response rate by increasing the chance of a customer thinking it is real mail rather than junk mail and actually opening it. There is no value on it, because it s not a postage stamp, etc. AT&T paid a substantially discounted rate directly to the US Postal Service when their pre-sort mailing entered the mailstream.

Ok , thank you John!
Is US Postal the largest post organisation in the USA? I know USPS they do parcels in the Netherlands, under the name Kiala.
Is the "stamp" a Cinderella?

Kiloware, that is just part of a business envelope. ATT mails millions of letters daily and they have a special deal going with the USPS. In other words, they pay less for a letter than you and I do. Some collectors do keep these, but mainly the whole cover. I have never seen a "cut out" of these things in anyone's collection. By the way, these same indicia exist from plenty different companies.

Kiloware, also another thing. Kiala has nothing to do with the USPS as far as I know, but they are a daughter company of UPS. UPS is a package delivery company like van Gent & Loos were in the Netherlands when I was a kid!

Ok Peter, but... It is a finding!
Let me show some stamps that are not findings in the kiloware :

These are stamps that are very common in my USA kiloware.
I think that some collectors / spacialists, study these stamps for different perfs, slit perfs, and maybe even coil numbers.
I do not sort this out, the adventure of study are for the collectors that buy these stamps from me.

On top of the picture 2 non profit org. stamps, no value on it, might be the same case as the AT&T stamp, not a real stamp.

what do the cancels mean, do these stamps have Always "flag"cancels? I mean this is not fine or very fine used,

Kiloware, the "nonprofit" stamps are what the USPS calls precanceled stamps. They can only be used by permit holders and they pay far less for mailing than you and I do. But they are real stamps unlike the ATT indicia. They are listed in the catalog.
Yes, what you call "flag" cancels are common nowadays. The mail is now automatically sorted and canceled. There are two things I do to get away from this. One is to go to the Post Office and ask to cancel these myself. The post office uses a round cancel without the "flag", but uses red ink.
The other thing I do is to put the stamp in a slightly different spot. If I put the stamp an inch below the top of the enveloper and a couple of inches to the left I get the flag cancel above and to the right of my stamp. The cancel by the way is a computer applied cancel - not a rubber cancel any more.
And kiloware, what is a slit perf?

A slit perf is a selfadhesive stamp, the perforation that all stamps on the photo have.

I have found out that in the Netherlands the position of the stamp is important too, if the stamp has a selvedge on the top then the stamp is lower on the envelope, then the stamp and envelope gets no cancel at all!
If I want a scarcer type of cancel , then I turn the envelope 90 degrees, the small side of the envelop is than on the top and bottom of the envelope, then I write the adres and place a stamp.
Here is a drawing of that:

I do not think that a slit perf is in the vocabulary here. Basically because it is not a perforation at all. Here we call it a "die cut". No big deal.

It is slit cut and die cut in english 2 names for the same thing.
This new form of perforation give a better quality stamp for the collector, but it is the self adhesive thing that is the problem for soakers, I never soak.
When we can't soak anymore, new stamps will all be collected on paper, then the price of stamps on paper will rise and I become a millionaire!

Keep on dreaming. You do know that these stamps on paper are going to go bad faster, do you not?

I keep them in a room with a constant temperature and humidity. in carton boxes.
So I will not become a millionaire, the costs for heating are a million too, almost.
I have old stamps on paper and they look good, no problem.

the fun of kiloware is the adventure.
I can't see at the top what stamps are at the bottom of the boxes, it gives me a "Columbus" feeling.
Everytime again it's a discovery.
It has to do with the brains, every time that I see an unexpected stamp something happens in the brains, the brain produces a thing in the brain I don't know exactly but I think the name is serotonine (in dutch).
I have the same with my other hobby, searching and watching birds, insects, plants, butterflies etc. in the nature.
It gives a happy feeling. I do not have that with albums or stockbooks. They are Always the same.
That can give a good feeling too but it is different. I love the discovery what I call adventure.

Sometimes those non-profit stamps sneak by on regular first class mail. This example is interesting because neither the prison officials nor the post office noticed it.

Alub, what is so unusual about this is the fact that the stamp should not have been cancelled. It went through a canceler that thought it was a tagged stamp, but this stamp is not supposed to be tagged as far as I know.
