Rod,

it is great that you have managed to find the 5c type IA!

I am still searching ....

As to the the 20c type 4 - have you noticed that the colour shade is always different hence you can tell by the colour!?

No, I havn't noticed that, albeit, I did that page some time ago.
By the scan the stamp looks brownish purple.

I'll post a close-up of type 1A on the morrow, so you can check I am correct

A bit tardy, but here you are.....

Type 1A on the Left

Look at the design change of the "c" in 5c........and the top stroke length of the "5"

Galeoptix, whilst I have your attention,
Any idea how this "EFO" came about ?

CV only $1.25 2009, so it must be fairly common.........

So they overprinted one column of stamps and not the other, and post offices sold them as pairs? Am I understanding that correctly?

That's how I understand it,
They would sell as a pair in an ideal situation,
however, could sell as individual stamps, depending on the postage required,
single stamps would need "make up" issues to reach the express rate.

I'll stand corrected.

Galeoptix, Thanks for posting your catalog last week. Would you happen to have pages 28-29 to post? I have a 10c to read about.

Thanks again, Jim

I'm wondering about Rod's two stamps posted earlier. Is the one of them a type 2?
