I believe this tread could serve everyone if we each create a list of our personal libraries with noting, title, author/editor, publisher, year printed, & edition if applicable. Also, add a short note about the book.
I know if I and others like myself pictured every book we have this would be the longest tread on this site on then some.

Happy Collecting!
Mike

PS gvcoll, I've have 2 copies of Russia Zemstvos. Great Book.

That's a good idea. I'll start off with my library.

Linn's World Stamp Almanac, 5th edition, 1989
The Modern World: Today's Atlas for Stamp Collectors, Kenneth A. Wood, 1987 - Offers brief surveys of existing countries' stamp-issuing history, with nicely detailed maps.
Norwegian Exile Mail, 1940-1945, Karl U. Sanne, 1986
Norwegian Postal Service 100 Years on Svalbard, Fred Goldberg, 1997
The Pioneer and Semi-Official Air Mails of Canada 1918-1934, C.A. Longworth-Dames, 1995 - A nice guide to this aspect of Canadian philately.
Roald Amundsen: Expedition Mail - Letters, Postcards & Stamps, Fred Goldberg, 2000
Russia Zemstvos, F.G. Chuchin, 1984
Scott Catalogue vols. 1-6, 2001 edition
Zeppelins in World War I, Frost Publishing, 2000
The Stamp Atlas, W. Raife Wellsted, Stuart Rossiter & John Flower, Facts on File Publications, 1986 - An essential reference work.
The Stamps of Moschopolis of 1914, Andrew Cronin, 1977 - A useful study for this specialized area of Greek philately.

This is great. I was just thinking about a question like this topic. I am glad I looked before I asked.

I have as much fun buying stamp related reference books and catalogues as I do buying stamps. A lot of my books are even used for bedtime reading.

Of course I have all of the Scott Catalogues, including the US Specialized. And the Unitrade Catalogue for Canada

The Handbook and Catalogue of Canadian Transportation Postmarks by T.P.G Shaw. A publication of the Royal Philatelie Society of Canada

A Handbook of Canadian R.P.O.'s

Ceres Catalogue for France
Michel Catalogue for Germany

World Stamp Almanac by Linn's

Canadian Stamps with Perforated Initials, (perfins) by J.C. Johnson and G. Tomasson

Philatelic Gems II

Canadian Fancy Cancellations of the Nineteenth Century, bye K.M Day and E.A. Smythies

I have about 10 or 15 more books, but they are in another bookshelf behind some other things.

Oh and I also have about 25 books on postcard collecting.

my collection is sparse compared to these but I will have to take the time to list them soon. The Christmas tree is in front of that bookcase right now. It was supposed to come down today but snow removal comes first.

I use the Scott Catalogs (I want to upgrade to color, but currently own 1996 versions and check out the new ones from the library when needed).

I also use the International Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Philately by R. Scott Carlton

In addition to books I find the web helpful:
Stamp Atlas: http://www.sandafayre.com/html/atlas.htm
CIA World Fact Book (info on countries) https://www.cia.gov/library/publica...ld-factbook/

You're lucky, Quanah.

My library doesn't have Scott Catalogs and the last time they did (I was just a kid) -- they were in the reference section and not available for checkout.
