agondocz: Nice cover. You don't see a lot of material from that part of the world, used even!

Hi,

The Aden postal card is nice. Thank you.

I found this 1971 Dubai aerogramme last year:

.

Best wishes,

In 1911, Jaipur State went back to printing its stamps locally, after having them and their postal stationery done in London. These were the famous, or infamous - take your pick - "Jail Press" printings. (The stamps, and presumably the postal stationery, were printed by the State Press, which was located in the Jaipur Jail.)

The stamps are quite common mint, a bit harder to find commercially used and uncommon on cover; the accompanying postal stationery is definitely scarce. So I was delighted to be able to pick up this Anna postal stationery cover with an additional Jail Press 1 Anna stamp recently:

The envelope is #E4 in Ed Deschl's catalogue; the stamp is SG 20. Deschl E4 has the indicium upright (or the envelope upright); it's a little scarcer than #E4a,with the envelope inverted.
