was working on an exceptionally good lot of kiloware over the weekend ... and pulled this little beauty out of the bag. Startled me a little. There were several very nice pieces in this lot.

For quite some time the mini sheet of 1945 celebrating the 100 years of the "Basel dove" was missing in my collection of stamps on stamps.
Looking it up in the catalogue, I discovered the 2nd minisheet of 1995 - that is half a century later - for the 150th anniversary.
Now both are well stored in my album.

I just picked up this beautiful Italy C49 at a local stamp club auction. The tryptich commemorates Balbo's Trans-Atlantic Flight, with the left stamp with an abbreviated pilot's name (VERC). I now have (2) items commemorating Italo Balbo.

Easyone, nice grab on the Quebecs. Centering like that is not easy to find particularly at that price. Good deal!

I just picked up this little eBay lot of assorted small banknotes & a few series 1902 in there. For what I paid I couldn't pass it up!
This is the sellers image and it's not very a good one either but the stamp I wanted out of this catalogs more than I paid for the whole lot so I'm happy.

A recent estate auction 'box lot'. A bunch of stamps and envelopes. This was the plumb. The gum is disturbed. looks like it had stuck to the inside of a glassine or something. Eh it was 20 bucks for the lot. Perfect stampcrow find.
