Thank you very much Rod for your nice words, that encourage me to be "on the hunt" for new items to upload, and even to buy a new book on Catalan posters to have information on the cinderellas that were based on these. It will be my personal Xmas present.

I've found the down cars cinderella in another colour, blue, and two papers: yellowish (as the black print one) and greyish.

During the so called "Franquism's long night" (it lasted 40 years!) there were some underground Catalan Resistance Mouvements. One of those was the Consell Nacional Catalā (Catalan National Council). To raise money, they issued some cinderellas, like the featured ones, devoted to the 1066 Toluges Peace and Truce Assembly and to the 1212 Lleida's Catalan Parliament Meeting, quoted as "the oldest in Europe".
Starting around year 1000 in Occitanie (South of Roman Gaul) and Catalonia, Peace and Truce assemblies, conducted by the Church, aimed at putting some rest on the troublesome Middle Age Europe's days. Incidentally, Pau Casals referred to those assemblies on his UN speech (can be watched on You tube).
The Catalan Parliament stemmed from these Peace and Truce assemblies and lasted until 1714. Restored in 1931 and, again, in 1979, it has not recovered its full sovereignity yet.
The 15 pessetas contribution (0.09 €) should be equivalent to 20 € nowadays.

With this image aiming for Peace and Freedom I wish our friends of SCF a Wonderful 2012.

It is amazing to have a history that goes back so far, to me here, where our history only reaches into the 1600's or so at most. It adds so much to the meaning of the stamp itself.

Well, sometimes having such a long history may be a heavy burden for not-free small nations...

Some more stamps of the Consell Nacional Catalā. The first one I think it was issued on the early 1960's. It's very simple.

The second one, printed (I guess) in Barcelona on the years 1976/1977, shows a part of the monument to Rafael Casanova, major of Barcelona in 1714 and defender of Land's Freedom.
The text says: "September 11th 1714, lost Freedom/ For the Freedom"

Our grand fathers had a somewhat naive vision of the American continent; as these cinderellas, issued in 1956 for the 7th Grācia Philatelic Exhibition, show. The subject was America.

Car races on a road circuit south of Barcelona, October 16th 1921. Organized by the Penya Rhin and won by the French driver Pierre de Vizcaya, with a Bugatti Brescia.

Thank you very much Rod. But, I think I don't deserve so many compliments. I'm just transmitting some information that is around me, on magazines, books, internet or the memory of elder friends.
For instance, some fellows have just printed a 700 pages book on "Political Republican Spanish Civil War Cinderellas", showing in colour around 2100 1936/1939 cinderellas, from which about 80% are actually Catalan. The problem is that they wrote the book in Spanish.

And I scarcely show any Civil War cinderella. Imagine if I start to show the 1700 Catalan 1936/1939 cinderelas...

Anyway, following your suggestions I'm thinking on doing a compilation (perhaps in PDF)of my Barcelona & Catalonia not-political cinderellas, with all the data that I've available. This work, should be done in English, for you all to understand; later, I'll do a Catalan version for my friends who don't speak English.
I don't think it would be so difficult. It's just question on having The suitable software.

I'll see...

Years ago, Cursus,
when we were not on an image based Newsgroup,
hardly a week passed by, without a text posting querying a Spanish Label
of some sort or other.
Then there was a leap forward with "C Joint" where we could
leave our scanned images for a week on a remote site,
and refer to the site in our text Newsgroup.
Again, lots of Spanish Telegraphs and labels arrived without
a great deal of ID, lots of guesses.

These labels had a certain appeal to me, rather enigmatic,
sometimes primitive, but always entertaining.

Now to have them reeled off, by you, in constant proccession
and, with explanation is quite a revelation to me,
and deserves applause.

All the specialist posters here, deserve the same recognition,
this information is given free, and comes with years of study,
We, in this age are so very fortunate, just 30 years or so ago,
a measly query about some insignificant cinderella
would have taken months to get to print, and receive a reply.

Granollers (60,000 h, 2011) is a market town 25 km NE of Barcelona. it's also the capital of the Vallčs Oriental comarca (the Catalan equivalent to English counties). From 1954 up to the decade of 1970, the Granollers' branch of the Barcelona Philatelic Society organized an stamp show and issued some cinderellas.
For the 1st one, they issued a sheet of 20 cinderellas showing different aspects of the city and the sorrounding county, in (at least) two colours: red-brown and black. A year later, they overprintedthem in black and red for the second stamp show.
They also lowered the price from 2 to 1 pesseta. It seems that the first issued didn't sell well...

Thank you very much for your continous encouragement. I'm glad to have you back, James. I'm still thinking on the most suitable way to publish all the information that I'm getting on our commercial and sportive cinderellas. Anyway, there're still some gaps to be filled.

4th Philathelic Exhibition, 1957, showing the posters of the different events taking place on Granollers' fair. Design, still, hace nothing to do with pre-war one.

I also have these cinderellas in purple and red
