Cursus,

Is there a possibility to make this thread (whatever you've written so far) in MS WORD or PDF & attach it here or offer it for sale?

Cheers

Well, it can be done. In fact, I'm using it for a lecture that I'll give in two weeks to a philatelic society on pre-1923 Barcelona's cinderellas.
But, to make a publication out of the threath, would require a proper writing up; and, I'm afraid, it doesn't rank very high on my priorities.

Thank you very much Puzzler. Now I'm showing two more modern cinderelleras that I've just picked up this morning (while I'm writing this, is 1.25 pm in Barcelona!).
Two 1988 cinderellas in Catalan and Spanish for the 1988 Barcelona Stamp Exhibition, commemorating the centenary of Barcelona's 1888 Universal Fair.

The Petritxol street, in downtown Barcelona, is small (130 m long and 3 m wide)but very lively. Opened on the 14th century, all its remaining buildings date from the 18th and 19th ones (not so old for Barcelona's standards!) and it's one of the most typical streets of our city.
Around 1959 (I guess), when it was closed to cars, the neighbors association issued this tiny cinderella (21 x 29 mm) written in the, then compulsory, Spanish language.

There, you can see the street, with Santa Maria del Pi (Pine-tree's Saint Mary)church belfry on the background; as the street runs from Pine-tree square to Ironworked Door street. Again, names which sound very middle aged.

With the return of democracy, the most famous Catalan artists design again some cinderellas. Like this one, for the 1980 Catalonia's Cycling Tour, a work of Joan Miró (Barcelona, 1893 - Majorca, 1983)

Cancer's Day cinderella, issued in Barcelona between 1960 and 1975. it was designed by Francesc Vila Rufas (Barcelona, 1927-2006) a very well known cartoon artist. I don't know elsewhere, but at home on Cancer's and Red Cross days girls (mainly)went around the city asking for donations and placing a pin with a little flag (later, a sticker)on your lapel, to show that you'd already contributed.

Cinderellas show much more of the real life of a place than just the stamps. These are wonderful, thank you for showing.

Just bought this afternoon: reproduction of two cinderellas of the Catalan Philatelic Society, issued for the 1977 Barcelona's Europe and Americas Philatelic Show, Espamer'77. The stamp shows Columbus monument in our city and the postmark depicts "The Umbrella Lady" one of Barcelona's landmarks.

Hello, This is a great thread with some very good scans. I am still confused about these staps though. These are from series 1-4. I am confused about whether or not they are cinderellas or not. I was told they were listed in Edifil but I don't have that catalog. Please straighten me out about these.
As always, thank you.
David

I guess I should add a scan to make it easier to answer.
