Boy, that Charles bridge in Prague is beautiful. I would love to walk over that and examine all the work and works on it.

The Adomi Bridge was Ghana's first suspension bridge.
Built in 1954 it now needs major repairs or replacement to
prevent possible collapse.

Notice the bottom inscription of the English printer Harrison and Sons
Ltd.

I always wondered if postal agencies received a discount
from these foreign printers if they were allowed to advertise
the company's name on the stamp.

Or maybe it was a cash deal by way of a bribe ?

Germany - Switzerland

The wooden bridge in Bad Säckingen connects the German town Bad Säckingen with the municipality of Stein in Switzerland. With their 203,7 metres (with porches 206.5 meters) it is the longest covered wooden bridge in Europe. It is longer than the Lucerne of Chapel bridge, the 202,9 metres (with porches 204.7 M) long. The bridge is part of the list of cultural property of national significance in the canton of Aargau.

Hojo Bridge crosses Hojo Pond on the grounds of Enkaku-ji, temple of the Rinzai Buddhist sect, Okinawa. It is built on four flagstones of Ryukyu limestone. A dolerite (a sparkling green stone) for the balustrades was brought from China. On each side, atop four newels, stand stone-sculpted lion statues, which are considered masterpieces of Okinawan sculpture art. Partially destroyed during the Battle of Okinawa in 1945, the bridge was restored in 1967. Here is an image of a stamp depicting Hojo Bridge, printed by lithogravure, and issued by Ryukyu Islands on November 1, 1967 to publicize protection of cultural treasures, Scott No. 164.
